Grilled Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 450 g of medium asparagus
- 450 g hickory-smoked bacon (thin slices)
- Special equipment: wooden skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes
Preparation:
- Preheat grill to medium-high direct heat.
- Trim the tough ends from the asparagus. Place it on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Season with freshly ground black pepper and salt.
- Wrap each asparagus spear with a slice of bacon. Pierce both ends of the asparagus with skewers to secure the bacon. Each skewer should have 3-4 bacon-wrapped asparagus spears.
- Grill the asparagus over direct heat until tender and the bacon is crisp, about 15 minutes; flip halfway through. Transfer to a platter, remove the skewers, and serve.
