Ingredients:
- 350 g thick slices of bacon
- 0.5 cup brown sugar
- 2.5 tsp gochukaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
Preparation:
- On a plate, combine 0.5 cups of brown sugar with 2.5 teaspoons of gochukaru and spread into an even layer. Roll 350 g of thick slices of bacon in the sugar mixture, pressing each slice on both sides to ensure the mixture adheres.
- Place the bacon on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 325°F (160°C), rotating the pan and turning the bacon slices halfway through, until the bacon is caramelized, 30 to 40 minutes.
- Sprinkle both sides with toasted sesame seeds, then let cool completely to allow the glaze to set.
