London Broil Steak in Tequila Marinade

Ingredients:

  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil, optional
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1.5 kg London Broil steak
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Combine all ingredients except the meat in a blender. Blend until smooth. Place the steak in a non-reactive container and pour the marinade over it, turning to coat. Refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours.
  2. Preheat grill to high heat.
  3. Place the steak on a hot grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, turning it over 4 times (cooking time will depend on the thickness of the steak).
  4. Let the steak rest for at least 10 minutes. Then slice it diagonally into wide, thin slices. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
