Ingredients:
Cupcake
- Cooking spray to spray the pan
- 1 package (430 g) chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup whole milk
- 110 g melted salted butter
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1 tbsp. semi-sweet chocolate granules
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Simple chocolate ganache topping
- 0.5 cups heavy cream
- 2/3 tbsp. semi-sweet chocolate granules
- Rainbow sprinkles
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 10-cup loaf pan with cooking spray.
- Cupcake:
Combine the cake mix, milk, butter, eggs, chocolate, and vanilla in a large bowl. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 40 minutes.
- Let the cake cool for about 15 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack and let it cool completely, about another 20 to 25 minutes.
- Simple chocolate ganache topping:
Meanwhile, heat the cream until just above a boil. Place the chocolate pieces in a small bowl and pour the hot cream over them. Let it sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
- Place the cake on a cake stand or serving platter and pour the ganache over the cake, letting it drip down the sides. Sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles and serve.
