Chocolate Cherry Pie topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 165 g unsalted butter
- 2 cans of 600 gr. canned cherry pie filling
- 1 package (430 g) of dry chocolate cake mix
- 1/4 cup toasted flaked almonds
- Whipped cream, for serving
Preparation:
- Place the butter in a 22x32cm baking dish and place it in the oven while it preheats. Preheat the oven to 175°C.
- Once the butter has melted, remove the pan from the oven and add the cake mixture. Stir until smooth. Pour the cherry pie filling over the top and spread it evenly. Bake until the cake is set, about 1 hour. Let cool for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with toasted almonds. Serve with whipped cream.
