Picnic slider sandwiches topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
Cutlets
- 900 g of ground beef
- 4 tbsp heavy whipping cream
- 6 drops Worcestershire sauce (or less)
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- 16 halved slider buns
Slider sandwiches and mac'n'cheese
- 450 gr. thick slices of peppered bacon
- 3 yellow onions, halved and thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 220 g of gorgonzola
- Prepared sliders and/or mac and cheese for serving
Preparation:
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- Combine ground beef, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and a pinch of pepper in a bowl. Mix thoroughly with your hands. Form patties with 1/4 cup of the meat mixture. You'll make 16 patties. Make an indentation with your thumb to prevent the patties from puffing up too much while frying.
- Grill the sliders until cooked through, 2–3 minutes per side. Remove from the grill and place on a platter.
- Toast the halved buns on the grill. Place the patties between the buns and serve immediately.
- Sandwiches and mac and cheese:
Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until lightly crisp, about 8 minutes. Remove and cut into small pieces.
- In another skillet, sauté the onion in butter over low heat, stirring occasionally, until caramelized, 20–30 minutes. Crumble the Gorgonzola with a fork.
- Divide bacon, caramelized onions, and crumbled Gorgonzola among individual plates. Serve as a delicious topping for both sliders and mac and cheese.
