Chocolate chip cookies in an air fryer

topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/4 cups premium flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tbsp. semi-sweet chocolate granules

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 160°C. Cut a piece of parchment paper to cover the bottom of the air fryer bowl.

When measuring flour, spoon it into a dry measuring cup and remove any excess. Scooping directly from the bag will compact the flour, resulting in dry baked goods.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, combine all the sugars and butter and beat with a hand mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the egg, then the vanilla.
  3. Reduce mixer speed to low, add flour mixture, and mix until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips with a wooden spoon.
  4. Scoop 1 heaping tablespoon of dough at a time and roll into balls. Place about 6 cookies at a time in a parchment-lined bowl, spacing them at least 2.5 cm apart. Bake the cookies in the air fryer until golden brown, 6–8 minutes. Let them cool in the bowl for a couple of minutes, then transfer them with a spatula to a wire rack and cool completely. Bake all the cookies in the same manner.
