Orange milkshake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 2.5 cm ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced
  • Half a cinnamon stick
  • 0.5 tsp allspice
  • 170 ml frozen orange juice
  • 4.5 teaspoons molasses
  • 3 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 0.5 cups of milk

Preparation:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and allspice. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar, then reduce the heat and simmer until the liquid thickens slightly. Remove from heat and strain into a bowl.
  2. Place the syrup in the refrigerator until it cools completely.
  3. Pour the syrup into a blender and add frozen orange juice, molasses, ice cream, and milk. Blend until smooth and serve.
