Sangria with tequila

Ingredients:

  • 2 lemons, thinly sliced
  • 2 limes, thinly sliced
  • 1 Navelin orange, halved and thinly sliced
  • 12 large fresh mint leaves, torn
  • 2/3 tbsp. agave syrup
  • 0.5 cups silver tequila
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 bottle of white wine, chilled, such as Sauvignon Blanc
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled

Preparation:

  1. Place the chopped fruit and mint in a large pitcher and mash them with a muddler.
  2. Add agave syrup, tequila, and lime juice. Stir, then add white wine. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours and up to 24 hours.
  3. To serve, pour the sangria into 8 glasses. Top each with about 1/4 cup lemon-lime soda and serve immediately.
