Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp (15 g) butter
- 2 cups of pasta
- 250 g grated mature cheddar cheese
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease a 22x32cm casserole (baking dish) with butter.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until tender (slightly longer than al dente), about 12 minutes. Then drain in a colander.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, cheese, milk, and eggs. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer everything to the prepared casserole.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown. Place the casserole on a wire rack to cool slightly before serving.
