Ingredients:
- 2 bananas, unripe, cut in half lengthwise
- 3 tbsp (45 g) butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons banana liqueur
- 2 tbsp dark rum
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 950 ml vanilla ice cream
Preparation:
- Place the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Once melted, add the bananas. Fry for 1 minute on each side and remove from the pan.
- In the same saucepan, add sugar and pour in the banana liqueur, dark rum, and coffee liqueur. Let it simmer gently for 2 minutes. Tilt the saucepan on its side to ignite the alcohol vapors. When the flames die down, add orange juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the desired consistency is reached.
- Return the bananas to the saucepan and drizzle with the sauce for 1 minute to coat them. To serve, spoon 1 banana half into 4 long bowls with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Use a spoon to evenly distribute the sauce between the bowls.
