Ingredients:
- Eggplant (cut in half lengthwise) ─ 4 pcs.
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 tbsp. l. dry sherry
- 2 tbsp. l. dark sesame oil
- Garlic (finely chopped) ─ 3 cloves
- 2 tbsp lightly toasted sesame seeds
Preparation:
- Place the sliced eggplants in a large, shallow baking dish. Separately, combine the soy sauce, sherry, sesame oil, and garlic. Pour the marinade over the eggplants and let them marinate for 1 hour.
- Light the grill. Season the eggplants with salt and pepper and grill for 3 minutes on each side, basting occasionally with the remaining marinade. Garnish with sesame seeds.
