Turnover with pumpkin – German pâcinte

Ingredients:

    Dough

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 0.5 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • Flour

    Pumpkin filling

  • 4 cups pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp ginger
  • 0.5 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation:

  1. Using a generous amount of flour, knead a stiff dough. Mix thoroughly. Divide the dough into portions (about 1/4 cup each) and roll each out to a diameter of approximately 15–17 cm.
  2. Place 2-3 tablespoons of filling on half of the circle. Fold the other half on top of the filling.
  3. Press the edges of the dough into place. Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 175°C for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
