Pumpkin Seeds with Warm Spices

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups fresh pumpkin seeds without husks, cleared of large pieces of pumpkin, a small amount of pulp is allowed
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and lightly grease the foil with vegetable oil.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the pumpkin seeds, toss to coat, then add the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Spread the seeds in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and bake, tossing once or twice, until golden brown, 12-15 minutes. Then cool completely.
    Exit: 2.5 tbsp.
