Cornflake-Breaded Chicken in the Oven

Ingredients:

  • 8 different pieces of chicken, with skin
  • 2-3 drops of hot sauce, such as Tabasco (optional)
  • 1 cup of sour milk, shake well
  • 4 cups crushed cornflakes

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray the foil with cooking spray.
  2. Whisk the hot sauce with the buttermilk and pour into a shallow dish. Place the crushed cornflakes in another shallow dish. Dip each chicken piece in the buttermilk, then roll in the crumbs. Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  3. Bake the chicken until golden brown and cooked through near the bone, about 1 hour. Check for doneness with a sharp knife. Transfer the chicken from the baking sheet to a platter and serve. salad.
