Preparation:

  1. Using kitchen scissors, cut a thin strip from the side of a marshmallow to create a petal. Cut more petals in the same way. Repeat with 23 more marshmallows. You'll need 10-12 petals per cupcake.
  2. Cut a thin circle from the top and bottom of the remaining 6 marshmallows. Press yellow nonpareil onto the cut edges of 12 circles to completely cover them.
  3. Arrange the marshmallow petals on the cupcakes and attach yellow hearts to the center of each flower.
