Preparation:Using icing, attach a square shortbread cookie (such as Lorna Doone) flat side down to the top Classic cupcake Place the cupcakes in a circle, allowing one corner to extend beyond the edges to give the "ball" some volume. Freeze for 15 minutes, then spread more frosting over the cookies and cupcake and shape the top into a balloon. Press 4 small white squares of gum paste (such as Chiclets) into the top right corner of the cupcake. Dip the top in decorative sugar and press to shape the ball.
