Deep-fried green beans

Ingredients:

  • 450 g frozen green beans, defrosted
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup corn flour

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, combine green beans with salt, cayenne pepper, and buttermilk and let soak for 15 minutes. In another bowl, combine cornmeal with salt and cayenne pepper.
  2. Pour 2 inches of vegetable oil into a saucepan and heat to 375°F (190°C). Dredge the green beans in flour and deep-fry until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
