Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Shallots topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 500 gr. Brussels sprouts, chop
- 4 shallots, cut lengthwise into small wedges
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- 5 tbsp (75 g) butter
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp. sugar
Preparation:
- In a shallow frying pan, sauté the shallots in 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, covered, for about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add the apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of sugar and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes. Set aside in a separate bowl.
- Fry in butter (2 tbsp) at medium temperature Brussels sproutsSimmer for 5 minutes, season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Add a tablespoon of butter and 1/2 cup of water, and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the fried shallots.
