Ingredients:
- 4 cups corn flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 cups of warm water
- 2 teaspoons of honey
Preparation:
- Place cornflour and salt in a deep bowl and mix. Add 1 cup of warm water and honey. Knead the dough with your hands for a few minutes, until the dough becomes elastic and no longer sticks to your hands. To check the dough's consistency, form a small patty into it. If the edges crack, add more water.
- Wet your hands with water and form the dough into balls 4 cm in diameter. Place the ball on parchment paper and press it with your hand to form a round flatbread. Then cover with another sheet of parchment paper and roll the dough with a rolling pin into a circle 15 cm in diameter and 0.3 mm thick. Repeat with the remaining dough balls.
- Fry the tortillas in a preheated nonstick skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes per side. Line the tortillas with parchment paper.
