Meat casserole with beans

Ingredients:

  • 700 g lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, cored and seeded, finely chopped
  • 2 cans (450 g each) of stewed pork with beans
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons hot mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp. l. brown sugar
  • 6-8 slices bacon, cut into pieces and cooked

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Spray a 9-by-13-by-2-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large saucepan, brown the ground beef with the onion and bell pepper. Add the pork and beans to the mixture. barbecue sauce, mustard, Worcestershire and soy sauces, brown sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes.
