Glazed Ham with Cloves

Ingredients:

    Ham

  • 1 piece of smoked pork ham without leg and skin, weighing 5.5 kg.
  • Whole cloves to stick into the ham for garnish

    Brown Sugar Mustard Glaze

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp ground cloves

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.

    Make a grid pattern on the surface of the ham and insert a clove into each diamond shape. Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan and roast for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine the cloves, sugar, mustard, and vinegar and spread the glaze evenly over the ham. Bake for another 35 minutes, transfer the ham to a platter, and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Serve individually with baked potatoes and lemon.
